This Saturday at 9 am, we will be meeting outside the N. Calvert St. abortion mill, just one block from Homewood campus. I invite you to join us for an hour of prayer and peaceful protest in solidarity with the innocent children in the womb. The abortionist there, Iris Dominy, had her license reinstated this week, from when she had lost it after a poor Hispanic woman died there after an abortion under her watch back in February. While other Hopkins clubs often advocate against injustice in remote places, we are faced with the chilling reality that the horrors of abortion are happening right in our backyard! In our dark times, I am reminded of the ever-relevant words of Edmund Burke: “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” We too must each ask ourselves this question, and in particular: what have I done; what am I doing; and what will I do to abolish abortion at Johns Hopkins University, the Baltimore community, and beyond? Think about this question as you fill out the VFL availability form. You can truly save lives and change hearts.
