Ice-cream Social Kickoff & Pro-life Speaker

Welcome back to Hopkins and new year with VFL! As you are probably aware, we won our battle for official approval from the JHU student government and were cleared of absurd accusations of harassment (Recap). Far from being a setback for us, the controversy and our exposé on Fox News have brought the pro-life issue to the forefront. Never has it been a more critical time to get involved with the pro-life movement here at Hopkins!

Check out VFL’s booth at the student activities fair (Thursday @ 5-8 pm), and email us if you can help volunteer.

The VFL leadership board has been working hard over the summer to plan an exciting array of pro-life activities, meetings, outreach programs, and social events to save lives and change hearts.

Join us for our welcome back ice-cream social in the Mattin Center Courtyard
Fri., Sept. 13 @ 6 pm.

Afterwards, we will walk over to the nearby rectory under Sts. Philip and James Church to hear a talk from renowned pro-life activitist:

Dr. Beverly McMillan

She will share her story of how she was the first abortionist in Mississippi and also the first to quit! Learn more about her fascinating story of how she and her husband have reduced the number of abortion mills in their state from 16 to 1, and how Mississippi may become the first state to be abortion-free.

Additional snacks and beverages provided. Bring a friend!

On the following Monday, Sept. 16 @ 9 pm, is the first VFL club meeting, Room TBA, which will be a chance for us to discuss pro-life issues and our upcoming activities: including hosting the Cemetery of the Innocents display in mid-October, a diaper drive, sidewalk counseling, and the Maryland Right to Life Convention in November.
Come to meetings to learn more!
